For a few years now they've had a young NBA player interview the top prospects just prior to the draft.  This year was Devin Booker with Fultz, Jackson, Tatum, and Monk.

Maybe this is confirmation bias, but I couldn't help but notice that Fultz looks pretty insecure and unsure of himself here.  Jackson is the complete opposite.  Tatum seems to be a nice balance between the two, and Monk seems just happy to be there.
Good clip.  Fultz gave the cop-out answer by saying he's looking forward to playing against "everybody", lol. Really like how Jackson carries himself, confident dude.

I thought we were finally getting someone who could score.
I hate this move.

Tatum can score, and he's a SF/PF which would be nice for once. He's got a lot of similarities to Pierce and Melo.

I've been wondering  --  since a few very measured comments about Fultz a month ago, Isaiah Thomas has not been heard from regarding Fultz and the draft.  Given ITs relationship and Washington connection to Fultz you would think he'd have been in the conversation (or at least consulted) with DA  and CBS.  Especially given Isaiahs outspoken nature and his investment in the team's progress and future ...   I thunk the absence of his voice (unless I've missed something) has been deafening.   My thought is that DA has consulted with IT, that IT may have confirmed some of the Cs concerns, and that IT has been coached/instructed to keep pretty quiet about Fultz ever since shortly after the lottery.

I think IT, Jaylen, Stevens, and probably more had insight into Fultz and had legit concerns. They are a class act organization though, they are not going to go to the media and trash the kid.

Heisler: Lakers still look fixated on Lonzo Ball, for better and worse

Quote
It’s not Lonzo or bust in this extraordinarily deep draft. There’s usually a dropoff after the top one or two players, but not this year. “In a normal year, four players in this draft could have gone No. 1,” a GM told me last week, naming Washington’s Markelle Fultz, Ball, Kansas’ Josh Jackson and Duke’s Jayson Tatum (in that order).

Seems like Ainge isn't alone in thinking it's a 4 player draft (unless it's him talking I guess lol).

TBH, I thought the exact same thing this morning. IT knows the kid pretty well and yes, his previous comments were measured, interesting.

Are we taking Tatum?
What about Jackson or Isaac?

I think if we keep the pick we take Tatum.

Jackson looks too cocky for his own good,  to the point of arrogance.  It's like he's trying to hold back a smirky grin the entire time,  like he just thinks he's better then everybody else and too good to be wasting his time there.  Really can't stand that kid,  hope to God her never makes it on this roster.

As you said,  Fultz looks pretty awkward and doesn't really give of a vibe of great confidence.  He shows similar awkwardness in the post workout videos - when people ask how they went he just says things like "i think it went ok" - which sounds like a not very confident answer.
