Ainge alluded the other day to something coming out of left field.
I don't get it. Why would acquiring a bunch of lesser picks in years of unknown prospects be of more value than #1 this year when the top prospect is considered elite?
It is like the silly tweet that Celts might be trying to get more pick for Butler. Huh? We have a ton of picks already. We can toss 10 2nd rounders their way. Oh wait, they don't want crap picks. Well, if that is the case, why would trading for a guaranteed #1 be less attractive than for a bunch of like #3 or worse picks?
