I mentioned it in the other thread, but no one seemed to respond because there are so many replies.

I honestly thing this is the plan

So #1, crowder,AB for PG13, future philly pick, future sac pick

I can live with that....

TP.......If Ainge does the swap with Philly, he'll have the added currency of the picks he acquired from Philly to get George or some other unknown target.

Ainge alluded the other day to something coming out of left field.
I don't get it. Why would acquiring a bunch of lesser picks in years of unknown prospects be of more value than #1 this year when the top prospect is considered elite?

It is like the silly tweet that Celts might be trying to get more pick for Butler. Huh? We have a ton of picks already. We can toss 10 2nd rounders their way. Oh wait, they don't want crap picks. Well, if that is the case, why would trading for a guaranteed #1 be less attractive than for a bunch of like #3 or worse picks?

I would only trade the pick for Anthony Davis. The End.

I believe the target is Anthony Davis

Ainge needs another premium pick and can't trade 3 years of #1 picks. He may not want to give up the Nets 2018 pick so he needs more. He's not trading down to #3 just to take another rookie. This is all set up for another move...a very BIG move.

2017 #3
2018 Lakers #1
2018 Nets #1

Just think about the defense if Ainge can keep Bradley and add Davis. We had no defense at the rim to contest LeBron. Davis solves the rebounding and shot blocking problem.

IT
AB
Hayward
Davis
Horford
I saw other articles saying that Philly would be kicking in the unprotected Sac pick they have as well.  the Davis deal would include 3 of the 4 prized picks - Nets 2018 , Sac, Lakers, #3 this year.  We still have one of those picks and only have to ship out salary filler while having the cap room to sign Hayward (getting Davis means chasing Griffin is unlikely)
