  • Celtic's only raise championship Banners
According to everyone on here Okafor is only worth a 2nd rounder. So I' 100% would have traded.

Absolutely not. None of those players has us any closer to a championship.

What's disturbing to me is the Celtics have passed up on a lot of big guys before the trade deadline last season, when Danny was quoted as saying the team's biggest need was a rim protector. Of course, he also said at a different time a defensive inside player detracted from the offense. That suggested a conflict with the coach. Noel, Drummond, Cousins...there were names out there that might have been had.

The Celtics have hit a wall again vs the Cavs--and it looks like they are getting beat up front.  So they better do something about that in the off season.

Maybe they draft Fultz, and trade IT or one of their other major players for a rim protector.
Maybe they trade that top pick for a rim protector and keep IT. I don't much care. But the common denominator is the rim protector.

Imagine
IT Bradley Crowder Horford Cousins or Drummond or Someone
or
IT Bradley George or Butler Johnson Horford

vs. cleveland?

we may lose but not a sweep?

I don't care if we are destroyed in four or we respectably lose in seven, but these teams don't beat the Cavaliers or the Warriors. Next year we won't remember how we lost, but what is important is to keep our assets until we can win a title.
