I'm calling it right now, Celtics in 7. I think the IT hate is funny personally. He's going to blow up these next few games imo. Adjustments will be made. We'll start going over screens because Scal will literally call Stevens if he has too.

Certainly not impossible, but taking 2 out of 3 @ Chicago won't be easy at all.

its possible. I think the defense actually did an OK job forcing Chicago to beat us with tough/bad shots.

Boston forced a lot of big moments to Robin Lopez and Paul Zipser on the perimeter. Those guys made their shots.

Then Butler and Wade have hit some big time shots (and that is what they do) but Im not sure they can continue at that frequency.

We are playing below our level, Chicago above theirs. That should even out.

I dont love our chances, but the series isnt as over as many are making it out to be.

I hope you are right!  Maybe the team will play better now that they are being written off.  Throughout this season it seemed like the team felt entitled and bought the hype.  Isaiah's 4th quarter dominance was able to cover up a lot of flaws.  Brad consistently said that we weren't as good as our record and that our defensive intensity was lacking.  This team needs to embrace the mentality they used to have as underdogs.  I think the shift in Jae Crowder's game has been representative of the entire teams shortcomings.  He needs to start embracing the effort and fire that earned him a starting job a few years ago.

Boston is the best road team in the East.

The Patriots came back from a 28-3 deficit.

Summons KG to talk to this team about heart and not quitting.

Hey, gotta pull out all the stops....anything is possibleeeeeeee!!! LOL

Yeah.

I just don't know if this team is the mental toughness to do it. I want to believe, but they haven't given me a reason to.

The only other gear we have to find, as another thread was about, is if Smart or Brown step up their game to another level. Otherwise, we hit a plateau. Meanwhile, the Bulls have Butler and two guys who have "Playoff ----- " as a prefix to their names. One could argue Smart stepped it up already, but he himself has another gear. That's how I see us winning in 7, if Smart has some 20 point games or near-triple double games or 6-8 steal games or an astounding 5-7 from three games. He needs to become our best overall player. Brown shaking off the rookie cobwebs would help, too. They have take-over-a-game talent, they're going to improbably need to be take-over-a-series players, one or both. Then it goes seven and by then the momentum will all be ours.

Lets just stop this prredictioneering thing because it just aint happening.

Lets all just face the facts that the Bulls are winning this series because they are better...bigger and are more seasoned with their vets and their rookies are better than what we have...heck their bench is far more producing than ours.

Im sick of the Oh the Cs are winning this in 5...then we lost game 2. Oh the Cs are winning this in 6...we aint winning game 3 but we might win game 4 but lets stop the fairy tale right there....this one ain't gonna be pretty because we are gonna get spanked.

You don't need to be a genius to understand that game 3 has become the most important game the Cs have played this season, so much is riding on it.

I wonder if IT, after visiting with family and possibly the full emotional impact of his sister's death hitting him, might not be as up for it as he has been. Full credit for what he has done in the series so far but with the series being 2 - 0 to the Bulls and having been with family, he couldn't be blamed for losing some focus.

If the Celtics are to turn this series around, game 3 is really their last chance. 1 - 2 going into game 4 isn't so bad, though still difficult enough. 0 - 3 would require a miracle for the ages to come back from. The way the first two games have gone, a sweep must have a lot of Bulls fans whose friends told them they were crazy to bet on a Bulls sweep feeling pretty good. Up 2 - 0 and no sign that Boston has any answers. I think the team can spoil their party or at least postpone it. If Stevens doesn't have this team giving everything and producing in game 3 then maybe, as some have suggested, this Celtics team isn't the team we thought they were.
