"Guard the Yard"

Time to get the defense cranked up and guard the yard. In a 7 game series teams know your offense by the 3rd game. Defense usually prevails as a series gets longer. We can't have long stretches of offensive droughts though. I think our defense gets us this series in 5.

Ok Mr. Stevens, we know you have a 2-9 playoff record and haven't had the right kind of talent to win right away. We can excuse 6 of those games.

However, the Celtics have always been known to have a home court advantage like none other. We recently saw the Cavs come to Boston and take us apart. Then we saw the Bulls pound us on the boards and the team as a whole look tentative and uninspired when they should've been fighting to get IT that win.

It's time to start building that culture so teams know that coming to Boston is going to result in an L. We can't have teams come in and shoot the lights out, rebound like crazy, dunk on us.

Time to guard the yard. No more playoff losses at home or being the #1 seed meant nothing.
