Really, this is a story about expectations. When the Celtics landed Horford, there was talk of him being a double-double machine, but that’s not really what he is.
Who was talking about him as a double-double machine? He hasn't averaged 10 rpg in 4 years. If that was anyone's expectation for Horford this year, the problem belongs to them, not Al.
That said, I know he wasn't brought in to lead the team in scoring, but as the second best scoring option on the team I would like to see him more aggressive. The part of the article I do agree with is that on nights when IT isn't feeling it, I'd like to see Horford insert himself into the offense a little more. Certainly more than 9 shots attempts (or 5, as was the case against Toronto).
