http://basketball.realgm.com/article/236735/Grading-The-Deal-Celtics-Trade-For-Isaiah-Thomas

Just ran across this, when I was trying to remember what the C's gave up for IT.  Turns out to be Marcus Thornton and a first rounder from Cleveland acquired in the Tyler Zeller deal.

The author correctly gave the C's an A:

Grade for Boston: A

But, went on to make this statement:

Thomas won’t be mistaken for an All-Star, but his arrival signifies the beginning of roster cohesion in Boston.

No?  ;D

Thornton and a 25-30 range first for MVP candidate Isaiah Thomas
Rondo for Crowder+Yabu
Pierce KG Terry for at least 2 consecutive top 5 picks.

Ainge is incredible.

I will give the author credit for the A grade.
Can't blame for not thinking of IT as a future Allstar.

BTW, the pick ended up being Skal Labissiere in the last draft.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Part of the reason for the results is that Danny and Brad focus on what the players CAN do...NOT on what they can't do...a lesson for us perhaps???
