If you can get Melo for TZ and AJ and JY you do it anything more and you are over paying for what amounts to a salary dumb by the Knicks. The Knicks might have to include a draft pick or future considerations. Maybe a rebounder on a minimum contract. Marshall Plumlee, Willy Hernangomez, Kyle O'Quinn...

He's old and eating up cap space. Brooklyn Nets fans were saying the same thing with the KG trade.

No its not even close to the same deal. Clippers and C's are stable franchises. Melo isn't as old as KG and Pierce were. Nets imploded which is how their picks are so high now.

You absolutely do this trade, Brad and his style will get more exposure by prospective free agents playing in the ECF and who knows, LBJ is due to get injured. Our future depends on the Brooklyn picks, when Melo starts slowing down our picks will be ready.

Brilliant trade you came up with.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

Melo is a salary dump with veto power as to where you could send him. It's not like there is going to be a bidding war. The Clippers aren't willing to give up much for him and really can't do a deal with what they have in no picks and no useful expirings. We are the only game in town if the Knicks want to dump Melo so you don't pay anything but .20 cents on the dollar.

I didn't even get a chance to go into the BS system. You're right, BS style of play makes Melo more of the team USA Melo. It's a lot of passing and movement. With Melo and IT together both won't have the burden of hero ball and stick more with the system. They can take easier shots and we are already seeing IT play more off the ball than ever and be more clutch with the 3 because of it. Melo's fit would be great.

Absolutely, and you keep Zeller over JJ as he has an option for next year and can play center while JJ can't.  I let's rally can't believe that people are against this.  Get him in BS system and just watch, Cleveland would still be the favorite, but I think we could make it interesting in the East.
