If Celtics decide to take a flier on Larry Sanders, instead of cutting a young kid with no trade value, Ainge should send Zeller, Amir and Terry Rozier to the Bulls in exchange of Rajon Rondo and Taj Gibson. Maybe Chicago would agree to send a future pick for taking Rondo out of their franchise and sending a promising prospect in Rozier, but the point is Gibson would replace Amir and Larry Sanders would take Zeller's spot.

Celtics would improve their rotation and roster:

IT/Rondo/DJ
Bradley/Smart/Green
Crowder/Brown/Young
Gibson/KO/Jerebko
Horford/Sanders/Mickey

This team, if everything clicked the right way, would be better than the Raptors/Hawks and put a fight against the Cavs. Of course, big ifs are is Rondo able to play a similar role to last year's Evan Turner and will Larry Sanders be able to play at all. IMO Taj Gibson would be a great fit with Al Horford.

Losing Rozier sucks, but, barring a blockbuster trade, Ainge will need to decide what to do with IT/Smart/Bradley in the guard department, and by retaining BKN pick and cap flexibility he would have a lot of options.

Nice benefit, but somehow I don't see Rondo wearing green again.

I am kinda loving seeing Marcus more at the PG spot where he doesn't shoot that much and playing a game like Rondo's. I am also digging seeing the Smart/Brown/Crowder and IT/Brown/Crowder guard wing rotations from the past two games.

I don't think Sanders could do anything for this team this year while Zeller will. Signing Sanders isn't goung to happen after the brass didn't like his workout.

I do love me some Taj Gibson though

Why on earth would we want Rondo back?

This too. Management had enough of Rondo. He is dead here.

You're basically trading Rozier for Gibson.  I like Gibson but I love Rozier.  No way.

Why on earth would we want Rondo back?

Because Antoine is no longer an option for "bring back" fodder.
Yup

Ironically, Antoine actually had a semi-successful return before heading to the Heat as the 3rd best player on their championship team.

Similar to Rondo, fans seemed happy to send Antoine off the first time (don't get me started on Raef LaFrentz),, but were genuinely excited for his return. If not for some really poor antics by PP at the time, that team may have made some waves in the playoffs. I would love to see Rondo back in green for 1/2 season on a good Cs team. Maybe people will stop hating him so much.
