He'd be stupid if he turned down that money. Smart move on his part.
Can't disagree more on this, there are something you can't buy,ex:winning
especially if you are an millionaire, yes it's a HUGE money but does it really makes so much difference in your life?

My guess is he want's to stay because he wants to be the BOSS on the team and can do whatever he wants
How many people retire from their jobs in their 30's? If he wan't to keep up his lifestyle then every million helps. This is his JOB not just something to do for fun. I'll never look down on someone for taking the money. Now if you're a mega star and make money in other ways that's one thing. But just a normal player should look to get paid.
Peace through Tyranny

As good as Cousins is, he'll never get to be the face of a shoe brand or anything.  His biggest fans are internet nerds who argue on message boards. What advertisers would pay him the difference if he signed in a bigger market? Alienware and Shueisha Publishing?  Take the money

this is my thought as well...while winning and legacy are very important to a lot people, most super stars do end up getting paid regardless, not many superstars took a huge paycut in order to win

I don't think any superstars or stars would turn down an additional 10 mil total for a contract. 200 mil is HUGE money.

and I agree, money will always be a factor.
