Interesting supposition...likely they would both be averaging 20 points a game. And, Zizic would be a rebounding beast and a good defender.

In my opinion, Zizic's outside shooting game is still suspect. Highlight videos show him hitting a few of them from around the foul line. However, most of his shots are either layups or dunks. Those shots will be hard to come by in the NBA.

As for Yabu, we saw in Summer League that he often gets swallowed up underneath the basket. The positives; he uses the rim effectively to shield off defenders when going to the reverse side for layups. He also shoots well from outside. He even had a pretty good outing against Houston in the international game playing for his Chinese team. I was very, very down on this pick. I sure hope Danny proves me wrong.

We will have to wait and see what happens next year.

I think Zizic would be beasting, depending on whether or not he had a team who knew how to make a post entry pass.

Yabu would be effective, and probably a starter, but I don't think he would be dominant. His outside shooting would be big, but with the lane tighter, I think he would get a lot of charges trying to force the issue.

good summary ally. thanks. one thing i would add to it would be a concern over how good a defender yabusele will be in the nba.

so far, i am confident he can score. his outside shot is quite good and he has long, long arms for underneath the basket.

last year, when the celtics picked rozier i thought "who??!!" color me convinced that ainge knows more than i do. same with yabusele, i hope.

i saw yabusele moving up the mock drafts just prior to the draft itself. but i thought he would go in the late 20s more likely 30s. but on this one, in danny i trust.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

He's got great physical tools: the footwork is already unusually good, great balance, and he's got the size to play physical - just needs consistent work on the body for strength and to get off the "baby fat".

Intriguing skillset including good soft shooting touch and handles - he's got the potential to be a unique player, an impossible matchup.

Downside, though. What we saw in Summer League was a guy who had no idea about basketball on the court, as a team game, at that level. Just really raw.  No way it made sense to bring him into the more structured, low-margin-of-error game of the NBA. China makes sense, he'll get a lot of court time to learn the game.

I bet he makes it to the Big Show.

Yup, that's what I see too.  His upside seems to be Mosgov but I'd love someone to convince me otherwise.

yabusele over in china has access to yau mings strength and conditioning program-yabusele could come back with less bulk but stronger and quicker with better lateral-
don't want another sully
i have watched all the tapes i could find and scouts seem impressed with zizic motor,i have seen him hit a few mid range with no pressure ,defense seems to be improving
yabusele is a teammate with jimmy fredette, maybe some of scoring ability will rub off
zizic's coaches certainly are not pushing him to shoot from deep or get more creative-
