A hugely expensive backup center with no offensive skillset is not what we're missing.

Evan Turner is making the same money off the bench. $17 Million is the going rate for a rotation bench player these days.

I didn't say overpaid, I said hugely expensive.

Spending almost a fifth of your cap space on a backup is hugely expensive. 

It would have been idiotic to compromise potentially having max cap space next summer just to add a 20 mpg role player.

He should have just kept Sullinger.

Yeah, he would really help us being out with a foot injury.  He has really helped the RAPTORS thus far.

Jared Sullinger could be out indefinitely with a foot injury.

Sullinger was projected to be the Toronto Raptors' starting power forward.

“Jared is still sore. He may be a little while before he comes back,” Dwane Casey said ahead of his team’s final preseason game against the Wizards.

The Raptors say that Sullinger will have a screw inserted into his fifth metatarsal as "a preventative measure to alleviate symptomatic stress reactions." How much time he will actually miss remains to be seen -- the Raptors haven't given a timetable -- but he missed 24 games with a stress fracture on the same foot in 2014-2015.

Sullinger had his left foot stepped on in the first preseason game and hasn’t played since.

“We’ll get it checked out and see what it is,” Casey said. “He worked out (Thursday). He’ll get it looked at and see what’s going on because he’s been sore for a while now.”

It wasn't a pre-existing condition, Sullinger was injured doing basketball activities for the Raptors.  Now sure, he might have gotten hurt with the Celtics or he might not have.
