training camp and pre season

the european trip last year was a real negative-it took focus off training camp and became an exercise of sightseeing,show games and shopping
david lee came to camp after partying in vegas with a unwarranted reputation,amir johnson also a newcomer in front court and lee was a black hole
brad tried to find chemistry and zeller had a meltdown
early season started wrong and i believe it cost us a better record

 this year players came to camp healthy,in shape and chomping at the bit
not jet lagged and coming down with a team flu picked up overseas
this seasons training camp and pre season has been so much smoother to the point of resting vets,days off and playing rookies vs hornets

pre season competition has been philly,hornets very weak, and now the nets
substandard to say the least,
i would have preferred more of a challenge for our guys
it will be interesting watching brook lopez vs horford /amir, now thats a good test

I actually like the foreign trips. I think when you put a group of guys into an environment they're not familiar with it forces them to come together a little bit in ways they wouldn't in a more familiar environment.

Unless guys are bringing entourages with them. I don't know if that happens but that would totally defeat the purpose.
