Out Demetrius Jackson, Hunter, Young, Bentil and a second round pick, For....

 Paul Pierce and Brice Johnson.

A trade that clears up our Roster. Suddenly we have Crowder, Brown, Green and Pierce at the SF/ Small ball PF position and a fantastic rebounder in Johnson who would help with Sullingers departure.

Doc gets much needed depth at PG with Fragile Chris Paul, and some shooting to surround Paul, Griffin and Jordan.

Celtics now have Mickey, Yabusele and Johnson. Just need one guy to step up and become a starting PF.

PP will just be waived at the end of the year and sign a 1-day contract with the C's to retire a C.  he's not being traded.

You guys can never give up Pierce.  It's always amusing.

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Echoing the statements made above, I dont see Pierce getting traded to us this year. Unless the wheels literally fall off the Clipper train by the deadline, then they have value in Pierce. He isnt the player he once was, but he is a better backup than whatever they have. And he is still better than Young/RJ/Jackson. It is also the right thing to do. Docs loyalties are to the clippers. He has to do whats right for that organization. Giving up Pierce early for a farewell tour on the celtics is not. And from our side, giving up an asset of any size (let alone 4 or 5 assets) for a player that wont push us into the next realm that is only going to be with us for like 3 months is a bad idea. Its even worse when that player has basically said he wants to sign with us to retire.

Doc will waive/cut/whatever Pierce, and he will sign a one day deal with us. I cant wait until Pierce joins the FO.

We could use more shooters...

Redick & Pierce

for

AB, Jackson, & Young

I think Doc would jump at a chance to get AB.  He's almost a requirement now for any team aspiring to challenge GS.  And hey, now that we're good -- maybe Pierce would want to come back?

Only problem with your trade proposal takes away big-time for our team strength.  I'm not trading Bradley for Reddick.

A bunch of spare parts for Brice Johnson and Pierce is fine with me.

BTW, Young was #17, Hunter was #28 Bentil was #48 and Jackson went #45 though many thought he was a Late first round type talent.

So all those combined picks for #25 Pick Brice Johnson, Plus a second round pick is certainly realistic if Doc wants shooting and a solid PG prospect.

I have not followed Brice Johnson in the NBA at all but, combining garbage players that may not even play in the league long terms doesn't make a decent offer.  In fact, the garbage analogy is about right.  Do you want more garbage or less garbage?

Trading away AB, to me, largely depends on how you feel about Smart and Brown.  If you think they can take the next step, it makes some sense to give both bigger roles.  Those two, plus Jae, makes me feel like we'd still have a top notch perimeter defense without AB.  That said, 3pt shooting is still our team's biggest weakness.  Adding two more veteran shooters would help us tremendously.

But Doc is going to want guys he can actually play, so while your reasoning is sound for calling your proposal a 'fair' deal-- I just don't see any reason for LAC to bite.

Pierce alone, even old Pierce, is still a better backup option than all of the players you want to offer.   It's gonna have to be a win-now move for Doc to move, he's never going to make a 'futures' move while CP & Blake are still in uniform.

YEP!  And while I love Paul I wouldn't trade too many guys for him.  Second round pick, hunter ? Etc
