He wore #42 with Florida, where he won two National Championships. I like it.

Good number. Every time Gorman says "Horford for two", it'll be neat. Tony Allen was 42, yeah? Guess we're not retiring his number. ;)

As annoying as I find our retired number issue, I do like that our guys are making unique numbers their own. I love that Jae wears #99, for example, and I like #42 as well. Side note: it is WEIRD to see #9 without "Rondo" above it.

Hear me out: the last guy who wore 42 was David Lee. David Lee was very hyped up before he played for us. We raved about his passing ability and how he could return to all star level in Boston. Unfortunately, the hype never delivered and he ended up being a waste here. Now, I'm not suggesting Horford is gonna underperform here, but, being the superstitious person I am, I hope this #42 isn't cursed now.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

major difference is that Horford doesn't have to return to a player he once was .
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Unlike Lee, Horford brings something to the table that he can't. Al spreads the floor, protect the rim and the ability to play in the perimeter.
