If I could ask Danny Ainge one question under oath, it would be "What was the final offer, really?"

My understanding has always been that the 2016 Brookyln pick was not part of the offer, but it is officially unknown.  This interpretation comes from the fact that it was called "a future 1st from Brooklyn".  It made it seem as if it were more distant, where as a 2016 pick would have been more accurately called "next year's first from Brooklyn" in late June 2015.

That said, I still love Justise Winslow and would trade #3 for him straight up.

I agree. I would also trade the #3 pick for Winslow. I think Danny realizes the damage he could of done to his assets. Knowing this now I'm sure he's probably the one who is the happiest it didn't go through therefore he will most likely keep the #3 pick

They were not prepare to use 3 rookies spot last year.
And I think they had no clue who to take with those picks.
They knew they got better value but they were not prepare for such trades and they stick to their plan.
Nothing wrong with that.
It got nothing to do with who won and who lose that trade.

Aren't they paid to be prepared? Is this not what separates the men from the boys?

Glad you guys aren't the GM.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I have read an article last year about that. They interview the GM and he said about what I just said previously.

I don't think any of the BKN picks were involved. That said, I wish we had pulled it off actually. I would trade a bunch of mid firsts and 2nd rounders for Winslow.

That's fine.  I'm pretty certain that Winslow will have a better career than Jaylen Brown.  If Brown is a viable choice at 3, then Winslow is a viable trade target.

Too early.
No if you look at it this way.

I was saying that Myles Turner would be very good in his first to second years and would command a very good return in a trade. Many people believe I wanted Turner to be a Celtic forver but all I knew was that he was much much better than other scouts thought and that he could help get us Cousins in a trade.....I was right, had we gotten Turner he would be a great chip right now.....maybe even more valuable than the #3. IDK what do you think. I think so.

MJ was a great basketball player but a terrible GM/President.

I'm betting Frank "the tank" Kamensky washes out of the league before the next 5 years are up.  I'm glad that Charlotte turned the deal down.
