Gotta be IT4. Right now, he strikes me as a regular season allstar. But once the defense hones in on him, he can be stopped effectively. He's gotta prove that he can take it up another level once the playoffs begin, much like many stars in this league do come playoff time.

This.

You could say that about almost anyone who's not a transcendent (like LeBron, Durant, etc.) talent. Especially on a team that lacks other offensive focal points like ours does. Defense is stronger in the playoffs, and for a guy with IT's limitations a lack of offensive help makes it EXTREMELY hard for him to be the AS caliber player he was this year.

The fact that IT led this team to 48 wins and made the ASG is testament enough to his abilities. Put a guy like KD, Butler, Love, etc., who can shoulder some of the planking duties and it wouldn't be much of a problem. Paul George is a better player than IT, but chances are defenses will hone in on him and his lack of secondary options will bring them down. Does that mean PG isn't a incredible player? Of course not.

Isaiah by far. If he can carry a team in the Playoffs, then that's pretty conclusive proof that he's a true "star."
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Zeller. He hasn't even proven he is worthy of 1/4 of his contract.

Isaiah.
For sure.   There are some who still don't take him seriously as a bonafide all-star.  If he gets it done in the playoffs, he'll legitimize himself.

Kelly. Had a solid season. Needs to show he is an x factor with the killer 3 ball to hammer the other team's D.

He always has something to prove. A big showing will alter his shaky confidence for the better.

Yup.  The stage is set for a new Celtics Star to be born.

Lotta pressure.  He seems to me like he has it in him to get it done.

Not say n Smart is gonna start shooting like Ray Allen.

But .....I believe he has that unique star mindset and will prove himself worthy of his draft selection .

young = he needs to show his value or he may face the trading block

but more likely thomas as he'd have more chances to play= he needs to show that he is a top PG in the league and be considered for all-nba team

It's possible Young may not see the court as a Celtic if he doesn't get garbage time .   These games are goi g to be so highly contested and brutal ......it won't be for the faint of heart ......that's why Holland was signed .  I feel like they needed another guy with more experience than Young and GRIT .

Agree TP and it is not even close.  The Cavs bullied him with length and height.
