suns beat houston,
atlanta and miami won but that doesn't put a damper on quest for lottery
houston in playoff run was expected to win but now have lost two in a row including losing to mavs
which would you pick homecourt or lottery position

Lottery position, and it's not even close. We could have home court and still play Atlanta. It's unlikely but possible and that'd be a bad scenario for us as Atlanta is a bad matchup for us.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Awesome that the Suns won.  That would be great if we ended up with 3rd best odds.

makes us appreciate how well the celts did on west coast trip and their season long results on back to backs
houston in playoff hunt and loses to mavs then the lowly suns-thats star power
the celts took so much out of warriors, they would go on to be defeated days later by bucks losing their undeafeated streak and after celts broke  their home streak they  lost again at home  to minny, while trying to break season record for wins
now, we face a tough finish of a great year and a lottery pick and playoffs-not bad for NO STARS
i would rather have a healthy, rested ,confident team than come out battered from the next series of games-
hopefully we have a long playoff run
with the makeup of our team everybody is critical, some more than others

If only we hadn't lost two games to the Nets.
Ugh.

Ugh.

There are a lot of bad losses that are coming back to haunt us right now, Nets as you mentioned, Lakers at home.. but especially the Nets since it is hurting us from a draft perspective and a playoff seeding perspective.
I thought to myself that either Toronto or Chicago would do us a favor last night, neither did.. It's nice to see the Suns pick up that surprise W, I'm sure their management was pretty upset with that win last night.

Ya last night was bad all around. The suns did lose but that only ties them with Brooklyn. If it put them ahead I'd be a little more cheerful.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

There is actually a pretty sizable break in odds between 3rd and 4th, so it would be nice if the Nets can cling to the third spot.

Does anyone know what the tiebreakers look like for this?

Isn't it just a coin flip like we had with Utah two years ago?

Brad refused to double Lopez in the post, and it hurt us.

If there's a tie the teams split ping-pong balls. The coin flip determines placement once the first three teams have been set.

In other words, if we tie with them and win the coin flip, we'll have around a 42-43% chance at a top 3 pick, and pick no worse than 6th. Same odds but no worse than 7th if we lose the flip (because they move ahead of us by one slot).

In my view the coin flip is more important than the gain in odds, because in 3rd-4th lottery slots it's most likely we pick outside the top 3, bringing the coin flip into play.
