A huge difference between us and that Pistons team is that we are actually fun to watch

What, you're not into watching a Finals series where the teams play at an 83 possession pace and combine to shoot 43% from the field?

Iverson without the handle.

Iverson could really get up there

IT not really.  Don't think IT can even dunk

IT can definitely dunk.

IT actually has a pretty decent standing reach at about 7' 7.5". It's only like an inch shorter than Paul, and IT has a 40 inch max vertical. Mathwise, he can his hand ~10-11 inches over the rim. For as much commentary as IT's height gets, it was interesting for me to find out that the dude actually has a pretty long wingspan and reach (AI's wingspan was ~1.5 inches longer than IT). Really put everything in perspective for me, and I realized his height isn't as much a detriment as I thought before he was a Celtic when you consider his overall length. I always wondered how he could finish over bigs before, but yeah, not as much anymore.

The whole team reminds me of Pistons with the no star*, tough play, underdogs and roles.
-IT is Billups because of big shots taken and leader of team.
-AB is Rip. Decent D, quick and works off screens often 2nd scorer.
-Crowder is Prince good hard D and rebounds also some offense at times.
-Smart is Hunter. The defender off the bench.
-Sully is 50% Wallace for rebounding and paint strength.
-AJ is the vet Campbell.
-Turner is Mike James doing his thang off bench.
-KO is Okur the stretch big man.
-Mickey is Williams small role defender.
-Young is Darko the some what wasted draft pick.

They are missing Rasheed*/Cousins*  to win their championship  ;D

As usual I see references to the Pistons championship teams and I notice a dreadful underappreciation of Ben Wallace.
OK Sully is 10% of Wallace lol

IT is unique, I cannot think of any player of the same frame going to the basket so fearlessly against the NBA beasts. Insane.

If there is a distant comparison it is David Rivers after he got kicked out from the NBA and joined Olympiacos in Greece. He could not shoot to save his life but he was a PG who was a true leader and had the same do it or die attitude. He led the team to its first European championship.

In that respect he reminds me of Iverson, who was taller but skinnier.  A poor man's Iverson is a decent comp I think.

I wanted to put his face on Mighty Mouse but I don't know how.

Not a bad allegory. But you'd need the other 50% of Big Ben as well.

you have that fifty percent with Zeller Jerebko Mickey etc

He reminds me of this undersized kid that came out of UW and was the last player taken in his  draft class. I am trying to remember his name now. I used to think he was the son of a Detroit Piston NBA great because they shared the same name, but the name is not coming to me now. Anyway, that is who he reminds me of.
