Lee's got his ring. I think he just want to go to the best place that will give him minutes for his contract next year. Nets do seem like a good place for him to contribute and actually play(lets hope not). I could see him going to Miami as well as no ones really sure how long Bosh will be out.

Really hoping DLee doesn't go to the Nets.

He'll get plenty of minutes and immediately becomes their third best player and in NYC, he's got a big stage AND motivation.

Hope Danny had a wink-wink with him about "no Nets".

why would a vet at the end of his career go to the nets ? He wants another ring

I hope so....I can't believe that I'm rooting for that evil Riley to out-woo the Nets.

RealGM specifically reports that Lees looking for minutes, not rings.

Hey, this is a win/win situation!!!  bring up Jordan Mickey, this immediately puts pressure on Zeller/Jerebko to step up their game and let it all hang out. if everything craps out we get to see a full dose of Mickey. this will be Zeller's trial by fire because he's already felt that bench under his butt the last time he got a little lazy and Stevens made him pay for it.
Put on your seatbelts kiddies because the backend of this season could be a very DARK RIDE!!!

Didnt Brad or Danny say to a reporter a few weeks ago that Kelly is playing what would be Mickey's minutes? I'd love to see him get some run!

Also, Im not sure about the Whiteside comps, I feel like they are two different types of players. Whiteside being a C in the traditional mold, and Mickey being more of a Stromile Swift type guy without the immaturity.

C - Bill Russell/Joel Embiid
PF - Giannis Antetokounmpo/Tommy Heinsohn
SF - Kevin Durant/Billy Cunningham
SG - Bruce Bowen/David Thompson
PG - Isiah Thomas/James Harden

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Mickey, in theory, is a player in the mold of Serge Ibaka. About 6'9" PF who legitimately protects the rim, can shoot a little bit, and will just be a rock on both ends of the court. Maybe he'll be nothing, or maybe he'll actually evolve into a player of Serge's caliber, but when you look at his potential, it's easy to see why Mickey is such an exciting prospect.

I think he's locked up Lee's minutes already, but Mickey may be able to get KO's minutes while he's out too :).

Tp. Yea, I agree with the Serge comp. Im excited to find out if he is a heady player. I think he could take on Zeller's role if he really plays well when Kelly gets back. So excited for basketball tomorrow night!

Mickey hasn't played in weeks, so I think it's not likely he gets any meaningful minutes.  I bet Jerebko gets most of Kelly's 20 minutes per game.

mickey will suffer from rust and is his ankle 100%-the fact he has had no playing time going against nba players and little is said about defensive timing
it is very important being in sync with each other,he isn't tall or big and his shot blocking is all about timing and position
what fans take as normal and rarely mentioned is the discipline and orchestration of a team defence it can seem intuitive but is practiced and comes from experience with each other
a rookie coming in having to play offence and defense for his first extended minutes while coming back from high ankle sprain and little practice-
expectations can be a setup for resentments
-just remember he is a rookie with time with red claws and drafted in 2nd round-

Jerebko and Zeller will likely get a bump in minutes but if KO is actually out for two weeks, I can't see CBS staying with that lineup the whole time. Mickey should see time but likely just a few minutes every couple of games.

I hope he does get some time though.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Well, I fully expect Jerebko to get all of Olynyk's minutes, and Mickey to get all of Lee's minutes...
