I see a lot of posters saying, "I wouldn't trade the 16 nets pick, but they can have the 18". That seems incredibly stupid. The nets are somewhere in the 3rd-6th worst team in the nba. Unless we get lucky (or unlucky, which is more likely the case), we will be picking 3,4,5, or 6 this year. If you project to 2018, the nets easily have the bleakest outlook. They have no picks coming in, and have no budding young stars. Their best player is very injury prone. There is almost no way they are not one of the worst teams in 2018, and I would put my money on them being the absolute worst. We also have 2 other 1st rounders this year, and like half of the 2nd round. I assume the reason is instant gratification, and you want the slim chance at a star right now. But looking at the nets and our position, isn't the 2018 pick better than the 2016?
