Smart, Crowder and Bradley are redundant and Lee is just horrible

zeller used to start games and score a flurry of points from mid range to flip hooks and was rather deadly,the addition of lee has altered his game
there was a post recently about his rebounding or lack of-whats the story with that  and why-
i am a fan of zellers last year and think possibly time has caught up with lee,do the celts really need a guy who is unathletic zeller shot at a very high % from mid range now lee is in his space--

Wow, three games in and people went from loving this team in the preseason to thinking they are trash now... It's 3 games two of which had been against the better two in their conferences. My only gripes are Zeller and Jonas, I'm not sure Zeller should start and I think Jonas should play more. Jonas might not fill up the box score but he always plays hard and against the Spurs he was somewhat of a spark.

It is really early to pass judgment but my assessment is that the issues in the starting lineup are Crowder and obviously Lee. Crowder is playing well but is a tough fit in his present role due to lack of offense. He is a much better fit in the bench role that he played last season. I feel his starting is more to due with the Cs wanting to give control of the ball to Marcus and not having him split this duty with Turner. For the sake of the future I totally agree with this philosophy but it is hurting the team in the short term. Ideally Turner is traded for a more traditional off the ball shooting wing even if he is a vet one year fill in. (maybe a Chase Budinger or Jared Dudley type) At PF I think this will naturally play itself out either Lee picks it up and starts playing to the level that is expected of him or Sully/KO takes his job.

I was excited because his last year's numbers suggest that he can still contribute offensively.

Now he seems like he can't finish anything around the hoop. I'm concerned.

It's only been a few games and I don't really want to jump the gun, but at the back of my mind, I do think the starting lineup is a bit imbalanced. We have too much D and not enough O on the perimeter, and too much O and not enough D in the paint.

I get that CBS really likes the Amir-IT4 pairing, but I wouldn't mind eventually tinkering with a lineup of Smart/AB/Turner/Amir/Zeller.

I'd give this current starting lineup maybe 2 more weeks to turn things around, and if they don't, I hope CBS rolls with the lineup above.

Or how about we actually let the guys play some more games (so we have a half decent sample size) before running around making rotation changes.

Seriously guys...

We have only played three regular season games so far.

- We beat Philly by almost 20 points, despite the fact that we could not make a basket
- We got very convincingly beaten by Toronto (every team has bad games)
- We had a narrow and hard fought loss against a Spurs team that's seen as one of the top 3 or 4 favorites to win a title this year

Lets give the team a few games before we start making hasty decisions, yes?

Houston was up 19 at the half over Miami only to lose by 20. Yikes.

The oh-so-great Bucks are off to an 0-3 start (w/o Parker).

Could be worse but I'm sure those teams are not panicking over the first few games.
