This might be a very short-lived thread, but we've only got two teams left without a win. So who's going to be the last man standing (lying down?)?
Brooklyn has a winnable game on Friday night. Cousins should kill them, but I have no idea what kind of mental state the team will be in. On the plus side, I don't see how Lopez isn't on restricted minutes. I guess that @Charlotte on 11/18 is possible, then they face us on the 20th and 22nd. AFAIC, those games will be bordering on Game 7 vs LA importance. Annoying: I can't go to that Friday night game, the one I've been most looking forward to. They host the Pistons on 11/29, then Phoenix on 12/1, followed by @Knicks on the 4th. Despite a good start, Detroit makes me nervous (@Brooklyn). That Phoenix game is the one that makes me the most nervous.
If Philly doesn't win soon, it's not going to win until December. The best chance for them is when they host Dallas (11/16) and Indiana (11/18) because they go on the road for six games after that, none of which looks like a likely win. Fortunately, they have their home game against the Lakers on 12/1.
Truthfully, until we get to December, I don't see any games in which either of these teams should be favored to win. But if the Nets lose to Sacramento, I see no reason why they shouldn't be winless on turkey day.
So, despite my long-time standing in what I believe we are calling the "miserati," I'm going to say that Philly wins first, if for no other reason than that their 12/1 game starts 30 minutes before Brooklyn's.
