Here's a question...
can Olynyk ever be a better player than Ryan Anderson?
Doubt it.  Anderson is a really good player in the right situation.  Very good shooter and rebounder.  Kelly's floor game has more upside but I doubt if he will ever become as solid and consistent as Anderson.

He was big in game 1 vs the cavs. Just could not stay out of foul issues.

Doubtful, but I think Ryan Anderson is pretty underrated.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

i think kelly was hindered by that ankle sprain that threw his whole game out of whack
-from shooting to getting to hoop, you can get back on the court but in a deminished capacity and for a 7 ft guy that will severely effect his 3 point shooting and confidence.
smart said his bothered him through the entire 2nd half of season-

I think that's an incorrect take of the situation. He was very good offensively, particularly off the bench. Then Stevens inserted him as a starter in the 3rd quarter, and he was exposed for what he could offer, just couldn't keep up with the Cavs' bigs... defensively in part, but just couldn't rebound against them; couldn't keep them off the glass.

Foul trouble was really a non-factor when you have Sullinger, Jerebko, and Bass all able to play minutes.

Stevens didn't learn it soon enough, or selectively didn't want to see it, until game 3 where he barely played Olynyk. He's Steven's binky sadly, and I worry about this would mean going forward.

So, in my opinion, if you have an Olynyk going full-on offensively (2-3 from 3s, and 5-7 overall) and couldn't manage to carve up a meaningful role for the rest of the series because he couldn't keep up with the opposing bigs, then I'm not sure what value he'll have on the floor for us. An off the bench role-player at most, Stevens will give him a bigger role than that to my disappointment. Will just have to cross my fingers that he proves me wrong.

KO might be ready to take that next step. I know that I'm not alone in hoping he does. He has the capacity to be better, and only time will tell whether that will come to fruition.

KO is one of the better passing and ball handling big men in the league. The comparison to Steve Novak, no way. He is much better.

How is it doubtful ?  Compare the first 2 years and Kelly has him in FG%, Assists, and Rebounds.

The real answer to your question Chambers is an astounding yes.  He can be a far better player than Anderson.  The guy has only been playing for 2 years, and people rate him like he's 30.
