Danny no doubt tried to trade for that 9th pick.

and if you think Pat Riley was going to trade his pick for anything close to fair when he realized he was getting Winslow...hah

Because no one agree to trade with us. Nothing to discuss here.

Is this a joke?

Do some people really not understand the concept of a trade?

Miami Heat hit jackpot when Winslow dropped. They were not going to trade him unless they would get overpaid. DAnny was not willing to do that

He should have over paid ...

Good talent an' to cheap

I'd trade done of those mid level pucks and some of our fifty role players for him.

The heat get better ,  we get a bunch of worthless picks and scrub guards

I would love to see some of the ridiculous trade demands made tonight by GMs looking to trade down. It would put a lot of things in perspective I feel, especially for those wondering why we couldn't pull the trigger on a deal.

Ugh. Why are there people still posting that we should send bad picks and players no one wants for things other teams actually want? And how is that even "overpaying"?

Try for some consistency in your rants.

When Danny says the asking price was too much, my first thought is Charlotte wanted at least Smart and a first rounder for #9. Probably would only have taken lopsided value despite dangling the pick. Doubt it was something easier to part with like Olynyk/Sullinger + a pick.

Because we didn't have the pick to take him.  The real question is what was the price asked for pick#9?  Surely cha couldn't have been in love with kaminsky??

Consider the track record of draft picks by teams owned by Michael Jordan.

Rozier rated 30th in the draft by that metric.
