Bass has been one of my favorite Celtics of the past five years...we've had him for about that long haven't we, maybe four? Regardless, I've loved his work ethic, demeanor, and big time performances (against Philly years ago and Miami the same year I believe in playoffs). I was always excited about Big Baby 2.0 and loved the "no pass Bass" mantra that followed him here to Boston.
All that said...unless we're contending for a more serious playoff run, not necessarily a title but at least more than first round sweep, I'd rather not retain Bass. There's so many playoff-bound teams that NEED him. I think he deserves a good go at a title after all he's given us honestly. I can't really name a team that couldn't have used him these past playoffs (thinking about HOU, NOLA, LAC, CLE, etc.).
