Extending Zeller makes no sense.  He's a garden variety back-up who plays mediocre defense and can't function efficiently as anything higher than a 4th option on offense.  And he's a terrible fit with our other bigs.

Trade him while he has value.

I honestly think we should trade Sully at the deadline this year if not in the offseason. As to Zeller, let him hit restricted free agency then match any reasonable offers. We don't want him cutting into our cap space next year in case we have the chance to bring in a big fish.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I may not fully understand the question but both Zeller and Sullinger have had both of their team options picked up already according to Basketball Reference.  I think they both will become restricted FA at the end of this coming season (2015-16).  Is the question whether we should try to extend them before they reach RFA (I don't think there are any more team options to pick up for either).

I don't see why we would do that for either.

If I were to extend someone it would be Sully, but I'd rather wait until 2016 free-agency for cap reasons.

It depends on what we do this off season though, if we increase guaranteed money for next year, then extending either might not be the good move, even if you economize in contract value (if the intent is to keep them beyond this season).

If we don't take on any significant guaranteed contract, then I'd be looking seriously in finding an extension for Sully.

But even so, this is not a decision I'd have to make now. It's a decision to analyse in 4 or so months from now and it'll highly depend on what we do this Summer.

Resign both to be honest.  Zeller is a great backup center for us.  I don't think he'll ever be a starting center anywhere, which works in our favor in resigning him.  Sully I think we need to resign.  Yes, the weight is a bit of an issue but when he's on the floor, and not out because of a freak injury.  But with Sully he's our only true banger we have as a 4 or 5.  Plus when he's on the floor can be our best player in the starting rotation.
