I think you'd be a great fit for the Boston Celtics.he's 6 foot 8 without shoes 69 with shoes 73 and a half wingspan and a nine foot two inch standing reach which is better than most power forwards. however he still quick enough has really good handle and has a very respectable percentage from outside so he can also play small forward and guard the longer sfs,  that crowder can't . he's also a tremendous rebounder at nine rebounds per game. tremendous upside only 19 years old and if you saw what he did in high school the kid was unreal so I feel like he's could possibly have been held back just a little bit in college although  he still had a really strong freshman campaign. I'd be curious to see where you think is a good slot for him in the draft is 16 maybe a little too high but I feel like this kids going to be a great player in the NBA for 10 plus years with great flexibility he's a great athlete a hell of a defender is LANXESS outstanding and he would bring much-needed athleticism and speed to the power forward position I'm nuts about Looney.

does anybody have any other information about Looney, I can tell you that he jumps off of one foot terribly has no elevation off of one foot but as far as the strength he can cover the pick and roll like a champion active hands one to have steel the game has potential to be a fantastic defender a double-double machine does anybody else have a problem with him taking them at 16.

I feel like I can evaluate players ok but I for the life of me can't make heads or tails of him.  I wouldn't mind him at 16, he certainly has some potential.  If he could guard 3s and shoot then the sky's the limit.  I saw him play in person and he looked good, too.

No problem taking him whatsoever.  What is he, 16 still ?

He's just getting started.  It will take awhile, but that's value & top 5 talent when its all said and done.

I'm a fan, if he's there at 16 he is who I think we should pick.

He must not jump very well because he was never tested for vertical at the combine (which indicates his agent probably told him not to do the vertical testing).

His vertical agility isn't great, but I think that is because he is getting used to his body after having a big growth spurt in HS. He has a fairly high body fat percentage of someone with his body type. I feel that he will get in better shape in the league and show better athleticism.

Looney is going to be a risk, who takes a while to develop. Once he does develop, I see him as a perimeter oriented 4 that can clean the glass, block shots and switch onto some 3's.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Looney is a tweener. At best he's Al Farooq...at worst he's out the league in a few years. Really don't want him at all...at the same time i can see Ainge drafting him :(

A cooler title would have been "I'm loony for Looney."

I'm not sure why the label of tweener is still a thing. In the current NBA where a lot of 4's are perimeter oriented a 3-4 tweener isn't a terrible thing.

Draymond Green was always labeled a tweener and he is going to get a max deal this summer. Smart was essentially a combo guard this year, which in the past was considered a tweener.

When all is said and done I think Looney will have the skill to play on the perimeter and the length/quickness to guard both 3's and 4's. To me that's not a tweener that is a versatile player.
