Though not finalized, LeBron James hinted he'll sit the next 2 games. Both are against Celtics so it could affect playoff race/seedings

====

Makes sense to get rest and then restart.  Maybe wants to have us be the 7th seed too.

You know, in case our ranking becomes too good for our own good, we could always sit some of our players too  ;)
As long as LBJ sits at least one of the two games we hold our destiny in our hands.

I don't think this is a factor. Of the five teams that could finish 7th, Boston has the best record since the trade deadline, which is the most important statistic when it comes to playoff viability, since that's basically the day when each of the teams' playoff rosters were assembled. Then you consider the confidence it would give the Celtics to win 2 straight games against their potential playoff opponents (LeBron or not, that's a big boost) and that makes the match up even harder for the Cavs.

Nah, if they're trying to game regular season standings, it would be to give the Celtics enough wins that they rise all the way to 6th so that the Cavs get to face the sorry Bucks in the 1st round.

I don't know.. the Cavs crushed us by 31 in March, and they were up 42 after 3 quarters.  If I got to pick my opponent, it might be the one I absolutely demolished a month earlier.

Unlikely they would rather face Milwaukee.

Also, even without Lebron they are probably favored both games.

To be clear, I don't think any of the five teams stands much of a chance against the Cavs, but if I had to choose the best 4-0 candidate, it would easily be the Bucks, who are 8-17 since trading away their best player. If they started the season without Knight, they wouldn't even be dreaming of the playoffs right now.

Well, the Bucks are going to finish in 6th, so it's all moot really.
