Now that he is officially bought out, and even though all indications show he does not want to play until he fixes his personal issues.  Can/should a team sign him before March 1st so he is playoff eligible.  Make it a rest of season contract with a 2nd year team option in it.  I think he would be worth that gamble on a cheap contract.

AGAIN? Oh Lord.

For the last time: the guy gave up a large amount of money to be bought out. He doesn't want to play basketball.

End of discussion.
It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him [...] bounce around to a couple more teams... eventually come back to Boston[...] and helps us as a role player until he runs himself out of the league.

Why would he sign any kind of deal right now?  He just left $22M on the table - clearly, money is not a motivating factor for him right now.  The dude clearly needs time and space to get his own issues sorted out.

Maybe after having the summer off, dealing with a therapist, whatever it is that he needs, he'll be ready to comeback next fall.  There should be a contract waiting for him then.  And if not...  that's too bad.  Maybe it's Royce White all over again.

Even if he did want to come back, I have no idea why you would even consider this guy. He's trash And extremely unreliable and unprofessional. That's the last thing the C's need.
