There have been rumors that Denver is offering Hickson and McGee for Lopez.

How about the Celts getting in on this with a BIG 3 team deal?

Celts get Ty Lawson, JJ Hickson and Gary Harris
Denver gets Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Marcus Thornton, 2015 Dallas 1st rounder
Brooklyn gets Brandon Bass, Danillo Gallinari, Javale McGee and 2016 Cleveland 1st rounder

I think this sets up the Celts for a nice playoff run

PG-Lawson/Smart
SG-Bradley/Harris/Young
SF-Turner/Prince/Wallace/Crowder
PF-Sullinger/Olynyk
C-Hickson/Zeller

Only drawback here is you are giving up cap space for next season, in my opinion, so what?

As much I would LOVE to see it, does anyone really think Gasol, Aldridge or Love will be a Celtic next year?

How many picks would the Nets be getting, because it would have to be several first rounders.

Denver and Brooklyn each get a pick from the Celts.

IMO there is no way that Denver does a trade this if they are only getting one late first rounder in the deal.  Plus taking on DWill's awful contract?

Celts can throw them their 2016 1st rounder.

if we offered it unprotected I think that would definitely get their attention.  Personally I wouldn't do that trade as a C's fan, but I think the Nuggs would def think about it, depending on how much they value their cap space.

Thornton cannot be traded to BKN. And 2 firsts is too much for the return the C's are getting

Thornton would be going to Denver, not Brooklyn.

I don't like the return for the Celtics.  Actually makes us even smaller - which is really hard to do.

We already have Gary Harris in Avery Bradley. Lawson is good, but I'd rather use draft picks and spend salary cap on different players in FA market.

With the addition of Hickson, how does this make us smaller?

this trade would essentially make us a somewhat better denver nuggets team, which means we're a quick first round exit.
we'd be giving up draft picks for the type of players we could get in free agency anyways, and our major acquisition in this trade would be a guy who's taking minutes away from marcus smart.
IMO we should wait for a better deal to present itself, one for a game-changing player.
