I'm more interested in the Wiz bringing in a vet for their playoffs run, and that Rice's contract means they could have space for that cleared as soon as in three days.

It would be very nice if Danny could start unloading some more of his inventory soon, making room for better rotations and the resurfacing of James Young.

I agree with your interest, although I don't see the Wizards being a very good fit.  They're looking to move Rice so his salary gets completely removed from the books so they can add a vet at minimum salary.  They're very near the luxury tax line (which Ted Leonsis will not cross).  They're looking more at players who get released after the trade deadline, and are trying to clear up the salary space and roster space to sign one.

Oh, well. Seems like Nelson could give them some good depth.
