Agree. We have indeed a great talent on our hands.

He looks like he's already going to make an impact defensively. And who knows what else he can achieve when he continues to grow. Im very excited to follow his career in Boston.

I just wish, like with Sully and Bradley, that he grows a couple more inches. Imagine a 6'6" Marcus Smart...

I was stunned the NBA channel crew doing the new preseason show ...didn't even mention his name during the best rookie conversations during preseason.

I really think Marcus was one of the top three rookies performing in preseason.   I guess the Celtics are getting no attention at all by the sports writers

Even analysts rarely care about defense or actually watch it closely.

Smart should be top 5 rookies regardless of his defensive prowess.

I'm honestly more interested in James Young.  Are his highlights anywhere on the interwebs ;D?  It's not that I don't like Smart, but he just seems to be a shorter, less athletic, version of Iman Shumpert, only with better passing.  His inability to score inside, despite his strength, during the preseason concerns me, but I hope that he will turn out to be a pleasant surprise.
