Before the draft, would ANYONE have thought it realistic that the C's would be able to trade Rondo for the #3 pick?  'Cause I can guarantee you that if that was possible, Rondo would be out of town already.

So, what's changed now?

Philadelphia tanking?

this would be trading Rondo for a BIG question mark
Embiid looked great in collage, but his health is a big concern, plus, given his stupid twitter posts, i'm under impression that he's not the sharpest tool in the shed.

So he jokes around on twitter a lot, so he's stupid? Makes sense...

That sure as Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. ain't changed.  Embiid isn't playing this year anyway, is he?  So, why would they trade the talented young player who's not likely to suit up for a while still, for a veteran PG that might help them win a couple more games but who would almost certainly leave town after the season's over?

It's nonsense.

no, but he's jokes are, and that was just a side note, the health issue being the main thing

I'm confident that Embiid has essentially played his last basketball. IMO big guys that are always hurt have huge problems in the pro's.

I think we draft Karl Towns next year and hopefully do a little trade for Biz or Gobert .

I really wish there was a way Danny could have pulled off getting Bruno Caboclo this year. I'm very happy with James Young but Bruno does have very unique gifts like a 7'7'' wingspan. I know it would be insane right now, but I would not mind trading KO for Bruno( I know I am putting too much stock into Bruno). I just think KO is not gonna be our starting PF of the future and since KO is from Canada I bet they do it. We could have a line up of prospects of:

Marcus Smart  6'4'' 6'9'' wingspan
James Young  6'7''   7' wingspan   8'8'' sr
Bruno Caboclo 6'9'' (and growing)  7'7'' wingspan
Karl Towns 7'    7'4'' wingspan   9'5'' standing reach
Bismac Biyombo  7'6'' wingspan 9'3.5'' sr
/Rudy Gobert  7'9'' wingspan   9'7'' sr

I just love watch players develop so this would be heaven for me.

A win every now and then would be nice too.

Lol.  I know I was reaching but it's not that impossible.  Rondo for Embiid.

I agree with you on Caboclo he could be the next Giannis A.

Thanks , TP, I am fascinated with him and that 7'7'' wingspan. He also played well enough in SL to raise eyebrows.

I also think Bismac would be a great addition to the team.
