If you live in New England, DO NOT get league pass!

I decided not to buy cable this year - thought it would be cheaper and I have my handy Neflix/Amazon subscriptions. The only sports I care to watch are the C's (and Pats, but that is on my antenna).

I bought league pass last season, but every single game was blacked out. The only way to get around it is to buy a program that changes your IP address to a different region/country. It was a waste of $140 bucks (I bought it a little late).

I liked league pass when I was in school (upstate NY) and was able to watch the C's... but in NE, they assume we have CSNE so it blacks out all games.

Let me ask you this: If I were to get the League Pass, couldn't I still access all Celtics games from the opposing teams feed?

So obviously the Celts feed would be usually blacked out because of CSNNE but say the Celts are playing the Hawks or the Bulls, couldn't I watch the game by accessing the Hawks or Bulls network feed?

The game is blocked out, regardless of the announcer, I believe.

I split League Pass with some people, but since we all had CSSNE we've never had to watch the C's through League Pass.

Nope, it's blacked out regardless. Anyway, they don't always have both feeds no matter where you are. It's always a good surprise when you can choose to listen to Tommy nem over whoever they have for the other teams. I wish LP would have the choice for every game but they don't. They offer like 10 channels, it's rare that there are more than 5 games going on at the same time (I think)... why is it so hard to offer both feeds. Maybe they should let you choose what team you follow and make sure they show you only your team feed. Oh well, I'll take what I can get.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

The newest version of league pass actually lets you choose what feed you want to watch.... but unfortunately both are blacked out if one of the teams is in your area.

Really? Last season they didn't give the option except for a very few games (I have ordered LP every season since 2006). I do remember it being said that they would give the choice last season, maybe they said it would be an option the next season? Either way, I hope it's true, I'd hate to have to keep watching some of those terrible feeds of other teams (*cough* Raptors *cough*).

That sounds like an error that could be fixed with a telephone call to NBA League Pass.  they are definitley just assuming you're getting the games as usual with CCSNE ?

Haha, right, seems simple.  But beggars can't be choosers.   ;)  If you and Thirsty want to be full-fledged Boston fans, leave the sunshine state and come brave the winter with us (and winter's coming!).  Then you'll get Mike Gorman for [apparently] 81 games this year!!!!

(Tommy Points to both of you gals for the most informative replies in this thread).

I'm also gonna have to remember to take advantage of that 2 week free trial peroid from LP (some years I remember, some years I don't).

Quick question

So, I have DISH Network and just found out that DISH no longer carries Comcast SportsNet New England because Comcast raised the rates of the station, thus DISH didn't want to raise the prices for it's customers.

Now, I am stuck no longer having the home of the Celtics.

So my question is, I am looking into getting NBA League Pass:

Does NBA League Pass carry every Celtics game?

Wasn't sure if anyone else who visits this site uses NBA League Pass to watch the Celtics.

Any feedback would be great, thanks!!

I just purchased NBA League Pass, I bought the premium package and it states that you can watch both home and away feeds of your favorite team. Obviously there will be blackout issues, depending on where you live. Best bet is to check the site's FAQ's or shoot them an email. :)
