Smart has gotten better every game. He scored 15 in the second half. Made some nice moves to the hoop, and finally hit some out side shots. He'll get all summer to work with a shot coach to fix any issues.
You say he doesn't show anything that isn't teachable on D. He has a nose for the ball, gets to the spot very quickly, and can't be backed down easily. The best thing, that is no way teachable about his D, is that he gets a ton of deflections. And most of them are coming off of passes from the guy that he's guarding. That is very quick reflexes, which you can't teach.
He even said once he learns the NBA game, his game will open up for him. Plus he's playing with scrubs that make it harder.
Plus Rondo's not resigning in Minni, so that wouldn't happen.
