I wanted Gordon over Smart, but only because I thought Gordon could be better in 3-4 years from now, and immediately allow Sully and KO to play effectively together, by giving such a big boost defensively from SF position.

But Smart is going to be better in the short term, and may very well end up being better in the long term as well.

Well, I would have been hugely disappointed too, had the Celtics drafted Gordon. So, I can certainly understand their reaction.

I wouldn't say disappointed by I preferred Smart over Gordon/Randle. Having flashbacks of Derrick Williams and Michael Beasley when it comes to Gordon.

I dunno about Williams, really never followed his career decline, but really, Gordon is the anti-Beasley as a player.  Just don't see how you could begin to make the comparison.

I lost respect for Magic fans a long time ago.  Anyone remember that jackwagon Orlando fan who created that video in the 2010 playoffs about how our geriatric players were going to get owned?  They were so obnoxious about it.   I was so glad we beat them in 6.  Every time I see Magic fans, I think of that delusional little punk.

Yes I remember that video. Hated the Magic for those few years. The guy admitted he was dead wrong after the series though.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I'd guess in the short term, Julius Randle is going to be better than both... and probably better in the long run too.   Wouldn't be shocked to see Smart average something like 7 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and 1 steal off the bench on 42% shooting... while Randle will probably immediately get starters minutes and put up 14+/8+.  Exum should get major minutes right away and probably will be one of the go-to scorers in Utah immediately.

But I honestly have no idea what I'm talking about.  I don't follow college ball.

Gordon isn't a jack of all trades. Besides the spot up 3 hes practically useless on the offensive end.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

You clearly read too much Bleacher Report if you seriously think that.

Bahahaha that second video perfectly encapsulates my reaction to 6 of the last 7 drafts.  TP.  Where's this infamous video mocking our 'geezers,' btw?  I must have missed it.

He deleted it after being mocked by Celtic fans.  It was the most obnoxious fan video I had ever seen.  He and his buddy spent a good 5 minutes talking smack about Boston and gleefully celebrating how easy the series was going to be for Dwight.
