If Avery Bradley gets 8 million over 4 years, what is Lance Stephenson worth?

If the comparison is strictly to Bradley and his contract, then Stephenson should get a max deal. That's how much better he is than Bradley. So basically, yeah, Ainge screwed up.

Avery got a fair market deal.  Would you rather lose him and get nothing?  Or sign him for 8 mil.  Remember, 1) This isn't your money  and 2) just because we did not sign him doesn't mean we have 8 mil to go spend  (Bird Rights). 

There is no reason to be upset over this deal.  Avery is a young up and comer who has proven he will put in the work to get better each year.  A minor step next year and he's in the 16-17ppg range.  And remember there are 2 sides of the ball.  It's not all about offense!

Lance is worth exactly what Bird offered 5/44 (well 45 to me)... 9 million AAV. I would even do maybe ten....

Whatever he does positively is a little tarnished by the bs he was pulling in the playoffs. He could also be looked at as a cancer by some teams too which hurts his value.

I agree he's a bit better than AB, but I would not want his fooling as$ on this team. He's a head case but some team will give him 5/45 or 5/50

I agree bird's deal is resonable. He has talent but is a headache. If he wasnt the headache he would prob be a 10.5mill per guy but to much rick to over pay.
