Take a close look, his measurables are very close and his stats are strikingly similar. Wade comes out a bit ahead but one could attribute that to the fact Wade played mostly 2-guard at Marquette and was in a much weaker conference (C-USA compared to Big 12). Smart also was playing PG for the first time when he got to college.

I am convinced you can play Smart and Rondo next to each other and it would be hell on teams. Bradley could still get significant minutes as your 3rd guard and Young you bring along at his pace.

Lets put it this way, even banged up and still with no three point shot, would you play Wade and Rondo together if you could get Wade? Smart is basically the same player. With almost the same scouting report coming out of college except Smart is a better PG and Wade most likely was a better scorer.

I really think the plan is to let Rondo play the one, put Smart and his 6'10" wingspan and 225lb running back build at the two and let them go at it.

Smart had faster lane, sprint and agility drills than John Wall, Westbrook and Chris Paul. Just FYI.

Oh, and name one other decent player on OKState. Smart pretty much had them on his back all year.

I guess we could have taken Vonleh but who else was the better pick at 6?

Here is my prediction: Once the Orlando Summer Camp games start, everybody is going to be saying that Smart should have been the third pick in the draft and that he and Parker are the front runners for ROY.

Feel free to rip me apart but I really like Smart. I live in Houston and saw a ton of his games. the kid is as if we turned Wolverine into a basketball player.
