Just wondering if u experts on Smart might compare him to Dwyane Wade coming out of Marquette?  I see a LOT of similarities.

YES! I see Smart's ceiling as a somewhat DWade-like career and play. Not the best shooter but knows how to  score and facilitate an offense

Wade couldn't shoot worth a crap until he was in the league 3-5 yrs and he got a lot better.  i guess the key for all of these kids is to keep improving.  And Brad Stevens is the perfect coach for that.

I hate that we haven't/didn't get Love yet or maybe never will but I do like the picks.  They could be busts or they could become pretty good...it'll take awhile to find out.

I am another person that watched a lot of big12 games last year and I probably saw Smart play at least 10-12 times.  He had the ability to take over a game in college with his hustle and athletic play alone.  I don't know if that will translate completely to the nba where players are bigger and faster and stronger.  He gives 100% all the time, and he never gives up on defense.  He was a streaky shooter at times from long range, but sometimes is overconfident in his shooting ability and took bad shots.  He is a good passer and I think could even improve that more on the C's.  His ability to penetrate and draw fouls will generate help defenders leaving their man and some wide open looks will be available (similar to how teams are worried about Rondo penetrating and dishing).

He is an ok ball handler, but he did seem to have a problem with turnovers at times.  For as many steals as he would generate, some games he would have 5, 6, 7 turnovers.  He is an emotional player and sometimes didn't harness the emotions in the most positive way for his team, and I am not talking about the pushing the fan incident here, just in general he seems to get frustrated at times and he lets it effect his play.   Hopefully that part will get better with maturity.  The sloppy ball handling, and the streaky shooting are probably my biggest concerns.
