I am not at all surprised by this.  Imagine for a moment that you own a business that is quite visible by the public.   One of your managers is at odds with you the owner and actively tries to get his division of employees (players) in an "us against them (everyone, including you)" mentality.  Compounding this poor decision by the manager, he also rudely fires his assistants and bans a legend and veteran in your industry (Jerry West) from his meetings (practices) to further increase his us-against-them mentality.  What would you do as an owner?  Why would you tolerate this manager?  No-one should.

I'm surprised that George Karl is still available.  I know he's getting up there in age, but with the recent Denver team it shows that he can have a great deal of success with a team that doesn't have a superstar.  And, George supports his owners not tries to pit people against them.

I hope that Mark Jackson doesn't go back to announcing.  He's bland, always sides with the referees/league, and speaks so deliberately it's awkward to listen to.  He has a preacher mentality to announcing and it's annoying.

Hopefully he rejoins Jeff van Gundy and Breeny Breen, I really liked the 3 of them together.  I don't think he should coach, anyway
Oh man I hope not.

Captain catchphrase was grating.
agree wholeheartedly.  one of the worst announcers I've ever heard.  one of the few positives to him getting the coaching position with GSW is that I wouldn't have to hear that idiot again

I like Jackson and I think he will get better as a coach but this isn't surprising. The talent he's had on that team, he shoulda been able to get them further over the years.

I thought they'd at least see what he could do with a healthy roster. Oh, well.

Curious how this will affect Curry.

I won't be shocked if Curry wants out of Golden State come free agency time.
