A team like the LA Lakers who want to build a quick winner before Kobe's career runs out - now, there's a team that would consider giving up their lottery pick to add Rondo. Especially if Boston took back Nash's contract and let LAL keep enough cap space to add a third star on a max contract in the summer.

I've been a fan of LA to Rondo for a while now.  I think if LA strikes out on some of the bigger FAs this summer they are gonna get desperate, and we could possibly get great value from them in a Rondo deal.

I would put the pressure on LA though to make the deal on draft night for their lottery pick, or else no deal at all. No waiting to see how they do in the FA market.

Oh it would def have to be a draft day trade.  For LA's lotto pick to be involved I think that would be the only way to do it.  But I think by draft day we will know what the free agent market will look like.  Hopefully a lot of the guys resign with their own teams while others decide not to opt out and wait for what is supposed to be a more lucrative 2015 off-season.

i can see why LA would want to "win now", not to mention that Kobe is a huge fan of Rondo. However, LAL has pretty much no enticing assets to land a player of Rondo's caliber. Even their pick, which is their best asset, stands a good chance of ending up worse than ours.
