Thanks for the correction.  Did I mention how MESSED UP the lottery is?? :-)

Very pessimistic prediction of our picks.  Most likely we are picking top 6 plus #18.  If we land a top 4 pick then we are pretty much guaranteed a star out of Wiggins, Parker, Embiid, Exum group.

Remember guys, even if you finish 6th, it doesn't mean you will pick 6th, it's a lottery.  We could easily end up picking 3rd or even 4th with a 6th place finish.
Actually its an impossibility to land the 4th pick while finishing with the 6th worst record in the league. The Celtics actually more likely to pick 7th than to finish in the top 3.

With the 6th worst record the chances are

1st pick 6.3%
2nd pick 7.1%
3rd pick 8.1%
4th pick 0%
5th pick 0%
6th pick 43.9%
7th pick 30.5%
8th pick 4%
9th pick 0.1%

#9  McDermott

#20 torn between Payne, Harrell, Lavine, and J Young. Payne and Harrell can play know Lavine and Young have alot of potential. None fill a need so I go with ceiling and draft Lavine

Ive never said anything like this before, but I am a 55 year old man and if we are dumb enough to draft McDermott anywhere in the top 20, I will try to stop being a Celtic fan for awhile. I think he is a completely useless player, as bad as Luke Harangody was. We are going to rebuild around THAT?

I am too old to wait for a rebuild around a gm who is that dumb. I'll stick to Seahawks football.

Just want to say 'hey' to a fellow 55 yo.  We are young enough to wait for a rebuild, but hopefully not a 22 year rebuild (though I do hope to be around in 2036).  I agree that McDermott isn't the answer, but our 2nd pick in the 2014 1st round is unlikely to be the answer regardless.

Top 6 does seem likley (barring a strong finish), but 18 is wishful thinking.  Since January it's been looking like the Nets will overtake Chicago and Toronto for the #3 seed in the East.  I think the best bet for the second pick is #20.

Wouldn't it be just hilarious if the Celtics do end up with an All-Star/franchise level player but select him at 18 and not in the lottery? So much for tanking. LOL.
