Detroit and Cleveland are 9th and 10th in the standings how are they ending up with these picks??

I didn't feel like looking at the standings and they're the easiest teams to project dumb decisions on.  They could both fall a long way in the next month and a half, too.  It's not like either of those teams are good, plus it's a lottery

With Exum the pressure will be on Rondo.  Celts also will not have pressure to have to give max/long term deal to Rondo, nor they should

Likely Rondo will be traded by the trade deadline

Exum will be a fan favorite. He is very difficult to stop from penetrating and finishing around the basket

I'm pretty sure you didn't read his post quite right. He was wondering what happens to AB if we start Exum at sg, what happens to Rondo is we start him at pg, or should we just bring him [Exum] off the bench.

Yes, that's what he meant probably, but it's was written ambiguously.  :P

Either way in that case it's better to get rid of Bradley.

But folks, see these news:

Exum wants to be a combo guard, not SG, and wants a team without a star PG. Also he likes Lakers and Orlando more. I think the ship has sailed already...
It's the NBA draft... teams draft players, not players drafting teams... if we get him and we wants the Lakers (and assuming they want him), they pay top price in a trade

Yup, the problem is that the Lakers don't really have any assets that we want.  Well if I'm giving up a guy like Exum to the Lakers, they would have to give us their 1st this year, their unprotected 1st next year, and they have to eat Wallace's contract!!

As above, I would start Exum at SG and Rondo at PG, then bring AB off the bench as out sixth man.

Even in that role Bradley would never need to play PG.  He can play SG alongside Rondo when Exum sits, then when Rondo sits Exum moved to PG and Bradley stays in at SG.

A backcourt of Rondo/Exum/Bradley has the potential to be the best defensive backcourt the league has seen for many, many years.

Everything I've seen of exum he has no clear advantage at either guard position - I think he prefers to play PG, but his skill set translates just as well at either position because he has great size for a SG, moves very well without the ball (off cuts, etc) and is an excellent finisher at the rim (either off the dribble of in the post).

This is why he reminds me so much of Penny.  With Penny you could play him at SG or PG and itdidn't matter either way,he was equally effective at either position.  Plus even at SG he still had a size advantage over manyopposing SG's

Like Exum Penny was very skinny and an explosive athlete when he came in to the league, and like Exum he had high IQ,
good handles, above average rebounding for a guardand legit PG skills.  The resemblance is almost uncanny.

I would definitely put Exum at SG and try to bring AB off the bench. We can probably get AB back for cheaper due to his injuries. Though that is a risk. But having Rondo and Exum as our backcourt would be so epic.

I think I agree with you.

I think having a three guard rotation of Rondo, Bradley and Exum would be very good. However, I'm still holding out hope that we can get one of the top 3 but if not Exum is the best consolation prize.
