I'm confused.  This what Exum is quoted as saying

Quote
“Definitely L.A. is one option,” he said. “I’ve been to L.A. many times and I love the city, and it is a great city. If I get the opportunity to go to L.A. and play for the Lakers, I know I’ll have love for the city. And their fans are loyal and they have the rivalry with the Clippers. But just to be in an environment where you have a great player like Kobe, where you have a mentor in a way as a rookie, I think that would be the best option.”

The rest of the article is idle speculation by both the writers and the allegedly concerned GM (as are the pieces linked in the article).

Honestly I would not want to get anywhere near the Lakers with the current ownership.  I have a feeling they are going to be bad for a long time.  Its going to be Knicks West Coast.

I agree with this, I think they are heading for some rough times with that ownership...I don't think they will be a title contender for a long time...the west is just too strong.  Unless Lebron decides to head out there but I don't see that happening...

I think the quoted part is speculation too.  since when has Kobe ever mentored anyone?
