Yeah that team would be 3 years away from beginning to sniff the playoffs. Next year they might win 20-25 games. Teams filled with rookies rarely do well. Rondo cant be the only vet presence.
Parker's defense needs a lot of work. Sullinger has yet to prove he can defend forwards or centers. WCS is a skinny center and will take years to build his body, and to learn the fundamentals of playing the hardest position to defend and learn in the nba. Maybe in a few years he becomes a poor man's Tyson Chandler - which could be really nice for a mid first pick.
How about we took out WCS and got Asik instead. Can we make it in?
In the east, i would bet on it. Sullinger and asik should be good enough to hold their own on the front line. Rondo is quickly regaining his form. Then in addition to Parker, Stauskas, Olynyk, you could sprinkle in a few veterans to help provide day to day hard working leadership. Vets like Bass, Humphries, Ariza, Sefolosha, Blair, McRoberts, Livingston, Kaman, bayless, Steve Blake, etc could provide lower cost help to a young team.
I would keep Johnson on the team too. I really like his game considering his cost and lack of experience.
That kind of team should be better than the Bobcats, and perhaps the Wizards.
