If the stories are to be believed, he's 100% outta there at the end of the season. It's bad enough there, you wonder if they'll get trigger happy. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=nyqytazBecause he wants a ton of money. Which is why Chicago let him go.

Wait till off season, make Deng a 4 year 46 million deal, then use it as a sign and trade basis to dump Green, Bass and co on the Cavs.

The Cavs just fired Chris Grant. Wonder if that helps or hurts the idea of trading for Deng?

But if you're right and that's in the ballpark, we can sign him for 4 years, $44.3 million just with the Pierce trade exception and some pick to make the Cavs not feel like idiots.

He rejected a 3 yr, 30 million dollar extension from Chicago. That says to me, you need a lot more money than what you are throwing around, at least 12 million a year if not 13 or 14.

Deng says to him / her "i'm gone in July so you might as well trade me now... GM calls Gilbert and asks what he wants to do... Gilbert says: "get me to the playoffs somehow. trade him if you have to."... no?
