well i've wanted okafor on the celtics forever

Do you like him enough that you would be willing to wait until the summer and try to sign him for next season?
no i don't think i'd do a rental of any player unless there was a pretty sure agreement to resign with team
call it the dwight howard theory

I think you misunderstand me.  Instead of trading anyone for him, would you be willing to wait until his contract expires and try to sign him in free agency?

i'm easily confused  ;)
yes!  i think ainge has spread out expiring contracts pretty well so not only can we get good draft picks but also chase some good - very good free agents
while okafor is 6'10" ? he would be a very good defensive rebounding center for us, maybe not giant height but there aren't many guys that big nowadays

I like Okafor but not sure I'd sign him as a FA for more than MLE $ at this point.  he won't put us over the top and he's not the player he once was.
