Garry Harris or James Young could go 10-15 and I think could become legit stars in the NBA. Harris just seems like he should be wearing Celtic green when I watch him play.  Cauley-Stein will probably go around 10 and would be a really good defensive anchor, but limited on offense (think Omer Asik with more potential and on a rookie contract). I like Selden or Saric with the Hawks' pick as sure to be good role players in the NBA. Payne, McGary and Ellis are good, but the Celtics are pretty set at the power forward spot. I also wouldn't mind tking a flyer on either Harrison with the Hawks' pick. They were highly recruited out of high school. Andrew Harrison has a whole lot of untapped potential and Aaron Harrison could be the 3 point shooter the Celts so desperately need.

Gary Harris/James Young with our pick

Saric with Atlanta's pick

That would be a great Draft.

Now if Isiah Austin slips to the 2nd round, I'd love Ainge to buy an extra pick. Sully/Kelly/Fav/Iverson/Austin could be a very nice big rotation.

I'm becoming a pretty big Cauley-Stein fan. Hopefully we can get him with one of our picks

Zach Levine of UCLA would be a steal at any pick outside of 10 Scorer's mentality with legitimate NBA athleticism. If he doesn't fall to us he could push a Selden/Grant/Young too our range.

Mostly though I just think we could use some front court Athleticism to compliment Sulley and KO. Finding it in this draft could be tough though so I say draft the Best Player Available to be used as an asset down the road.

We need athleticism at Frontcourt to pair up with Sully and Olynyk:

Cauley-Stein
Aaron Gordon
Montrezl Harrel

And shooters at the Wings:

Mcdermott
Rodney Hood
Harris
Dekker

Trade the picks.  I keep hearing the draft is top heavy.  6-9 guys who could be franchise players and then a crap shoot.

Good news is that although our picks are projected #15 and #20 right now... we're basically tied with Chicago who has the 9th best odds.

It seems highly unlikely that the 2014 draft will yield 6 to 9 "franchise players."  I thought that term was reserved for the likes of Lebron James, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Tim Duncan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Shaquille O'Neal, and other perennial top ten players.

I think you should temper your expectations of this draft.  I'm not saying it won't be good, but more than twice as much "franchise level talent" as the best drafts in NBA history seems to be a bit much to ask.

If there are as many as three "franchise level talents" it will be remarkable.  Let's not get carried away.

There are 5 or 6 players who could be franchise players. History tells us all of them wont pan out but the potential is there. To me a franchise player is a guy a team can be built around. If you look at the ceiling players that the top 6 project as, they all have this potential. Looking at Wiggins (paul george),Parker (carmelo),Embiid (lesser hakeem), Smart (Areaas/Harden), Exum (penny hardaway).

Sure.  And, the ceiling of Victor Oladipo is Dwayne Wade, Dennis Schroeder/Rajon Rondo, Kelly Olynyk/Dirk Nowitzki, Ben McElmore/Ray Allen, Anthony Bennett/Larry Johnson, Nerlens Noel/Marcus Camby.

Boy, the 2013 draft class sure is stacked.
