we should have kept Paul
and traded Kevin

Paul is the missin piece with Rondo

Both were much slower and PP was turnover prone.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

I think yes because I think Sully is starting to get in shape and starting to become a force. I have seen him be the best PF on the court for the last 2 weeks and I think he's only getting better. He will be a 20/10 guy be the end of this year IMO.

Rondo and Sully right now are the building blocks. Rondo is our all around do it all player, Sully our inside banger. The question is who/what complements them?

If you get a big that clogs the middle it will effect Sully's game, if you get a ball controlling wing player it takes away from Rondo.

Also this "WE HAVE TO HAVE A RIM CONTROLLING BIG" stuff is a bunch of crap! Every team is different, and what we need is a team that complements each other. Detroit has that big and they suck, I watched Jordan wing 6 championships without one, the Queen has won 2 (didn't watch those cause I hate her). Yes I realize they are/were the best players, but they had talent that works well together.

*On a side note I'd take Melo.

Nice thoughts.  I do like watching a team with a mobile 7 foot shot blocker and do fantasize about Embiid.  But for this post I'll put that aside and lay out a team of the future that I think would be darn good, including two players from this draft.  If Fav could become a pure defensive big I'd like it even more....maybe a defensive stud from the 2015 draft instead of Fav.  Or a free agent defender...someone other team's players are a bit afraid to take inside on.

Rondo, Crawford, Bradley
Bradley, Selden, Crawford
Green, Selden, Vonleh
Vonleh, KO, Sully
Sully, Fav, KO

If that one guy was Lebron, maybe. We'd still probably need a solid defensive big man, though, and maybe some more reliable shooters.

so paul george or kevin durant wouldn't?  i'd beg to differ.

Please do not start a debate about which players we have no chance on earth of trading for would (or would not) give us a shot at a ring....

1) as previously noted, every team is basically durant or lebron away from contending;

2) it's depressing.

You think adding Paul George makes us a contender?
Let's not get carried away here- George is a 1 time bench All Star. What exactly has he done?

Now, add Hibbert and Rondo and we are very close to a top 6 team.

Read that last line again. One more time.

Maybe - if we get the 1st edition Rondo and Green plays like he did against last nights Cavs.....  but I have no idea who that new player could be.....and no I would not trade Sully or Kelly.....or Bass.....

Roy Hibbert is a 1 time bench All-Star.  So is Marc Gasol.
